Third-person shooter video games, also referred as TPSs or 3PSs, focuses on shooting and combat from a third-person perspective of the character the player is controlling.
This view is wider, thus the player can have totally different approach of the game compared to a
first-person shooters. Furthermore, third person shooters allow for more elaborate movement such as rolling or diving, as opposed to simple jumping and crouching common in
FPS games. The environment is also more visible but the focus remains on the shooting activity.
