Sparda is a videogame character of the Devil may cry series. During the war opposing demons to humans, Sparda decided to help the humans because of their weaknesses.

He thus annihilated the demons with his sword, even defeating Mundus.
But afraid of his own powers he decided to lock them up in his sword. In order to seal the gateway to the demon world, he sacrificed himself, becoming a legend.

He fell in love with a human and had twins Dante and Vergil and left the amulet closing the door of demons' world to his wife. She will die and give each of her sons a part of it.
