The player will have to use human ballistic weapons but also aliens' weapons with energy. He has a shield, which once attacked, can charge itself again.

The game will make you drive various vehicles, from the warthog (a futurist jeep armed with a machine gun) to the Covenant mortar tank and many more...The enemies'intelligence is excellent, they use the environment to try to kill you.

Fortunately, you are helped by your allies. You will also have to fight « the flood », a stinking creature which can take three forms.
