A Flamethrower is a mechanic weapon which send an in fire liquid or high pressure inflammable gas. His usage is primary military. The first flamethrower in Europe was used by the German army in the war of 1914-1918. Before everything, the goal of this weapon is to impress the enemy by glittery squirts instead of verily kill. It’s first a psychological weapon that hits the moral of people who are undergoing it.

This weapon is often transported on a man back but it can be transported on a tank. That’s the case of American flamethrower tanks while the Vietnam’s war. The range at this time is less than 10 meters but terrorize the Vietcong enemy.

One of its most utilisation was in the World War 2 during the pacific battle. Americans marines used it to throw out Japanese soldiers entrenched in galleries. The Flamethrower burnt oxygen which make them suffocating, trapped in their hideout.
