The CIA is the Central Intelligence Agency. It is a civilian agency of the US government. Originally its functions were to collect and to analyze information about foreign governments, corporations and important or strategic people in order to advise the government leaders.
The CIA was established in 1947 by the National Security Act that implemented both the National Security Council and the CIA.
The CIA is headed by the Director of Central Intelligence under the direct supervision of the President of the United States and of the National Security Council. Its headquarters are located in the community of Langley in Virginia.
Now the CIA has many functions similar to other countries intelligence agencies and it has relationships with them.
The future CIA agents have to be trained, and this training is extremely hard. This training takes place at The Point and the Farm. The students have a rough physical training (paramilitary training) as weel as a formation on surveillance, countersurveillance, cryptography, etc.
