The solo mode is divided in three parts, first one; the player is British soldier "Soap" McTavish under the orders of Captain Price in Russia.

In the second one, the player is a member of the United States Marine Corps (U.S.M.C.), Sergeant Paul Jackson, who fights in Near East and the last one, takes place in Prypiat, the player is Captain Price (lieutenant at that time) under the order of Captain Mc Millan for the murder of Zakaev. These missions, unlike Call of Duty 2 are linked to each other.

The player has an arsenal of weapons, from a gun to rifles, grenades, knives, night vision glasses...The game is for sure one of the most beautiful, in terms of graphics.
