Time Crisis is a light gun FPS developed by Nex Entertainment and published by Namco.
Time Crisis is mainly known for its arcade versions as the game has never been perfectly readapted on our gaming consoles. Here is the fourth episode of the series, bringing with him some novelties.
First of all, we are on next-gen consoles and we can clearly see what this has brought. The game has beautiful graphics and amazing animations rendering the action much more intense and realistic. A part from that, the game hasn't really evolved, allowing for some plain immediate fun. Time Crisis 4 adds the multi-screen system, offering a chance for players to move the sight all around them (by simply aiming just outside the screen in the direction you want). This will enhance the difficulty of the game since now you have to protect yourself from 4 different screens at the time. Except that, the rest of the game follows its predecessors, offering a couple of different weapons and some vehicles to shoot from (helicopter will have you using the mini-gun).
This type of games doesn't really rely on a good story, as most of the time you'll skip the in-movies to start the next mission. Nevertheless, it is a tradition for Time Crisis to offer us a minimum of background. In this episode, a US military weapon has been stolen by a European terrorist organization known as W.O.L.F. The terrorists are selling the weapon to an unidentified buyer in central California. You, Captain William Rush are sent to investigate and to solve this issue. Of course, things don't go exactly as they should have, and you'll find yourself travelling all over the world in seek for justice.
Time Crisis 4 is a good continuation to the series but doesn't really make it evolve. If you have never played this type of game, you'll have a great experience. On the contrary, if you own Time Crisis 3 , you'll find that this game is just an extension.
