Unreal Tournament 3 is a first person shooter developed by Epic Games and published by Midway games. The game was released on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

The Unreal series are famous for their ultra-violent and futuristic battles as well as launching an engine for each new generation of games. Even if there is a campaign mode, Unreal has always been focused on the online multiplayer mode. The third episode doesn't change the rule (even if introduces an in-depth story).

With each new episode, come new combat modes. There are the classic Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and duel which remain unchanged but there also are Warfare and Vehicle Capture the Flag.
Warfare is a modified Onslaught mode. To win, you still have to link all nodes to be able to capture the other team's base but there are now unlinked nodes that can be captured by anyone and offer strategic placement and other vehicles, countdown nodes which have to be captured for a certain amount of time and will offer benefic events, and the orb which instantly capture a node. Vehicle capture the flag is a Capture the flag but with vehicles.
Speaking of vehicles, they're now separated into two categories: Axon Vehicles and Necris Vehicles. The Axon ones are the ones seen in UT 2004 while the Necris's are brand new and have diverse utilizations. In addition, all players now have a hoverboard that allow faster movement faster in the maps but also more vulnerability.

Like all Unreal Tournaments, this 3rd episode is a great multiplayer game where you could spend all of your nights playing with your friends. Even if they tried to improve the solo mode, it still remains quickly boring and without interest. Nevertheless, Unreal Tournament is incredibly well done and deserves to be tried by all means.
