Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is a third-person action adventure videogame developed and published by Ubisoft. The game was released on PS2, Xbox, GameCube, PC, and GBA.
After a series of incredible games in 2D and a failed attempt in 3D, the Prince of Persia returns for a new story in a completely different direction. With the powers to control time, our hero will have to face dangers and resolve enigmas never seen before.
King Shahraman and his son, the Prince of Persia, have defeated the Indian Maharajah. As a consequence, they wish to obtain honor and glory and mainly recover his famous treasures as well as capture his daughter Farah. Among them are a sand hourglass and a dagger. However, in order to defeat the Maharajah, the father and son had to seek the aid of an old Vizier who betrayed him in order to get the dagger and the hourglass to use their powers. Unfortunately, the King refuses to give him any of them. As a result, the Vizier tricks our young prince to unleash the Sands of Time which destroy the kingdom and turn everyone into Sand Creatures (except the prince, the vizier and the princess). His journey to repair his faults begins.
In order to do so, the Prince will have to use the dagger to control the flow of time (go back, slow it, etc.). You'll explore huge palaces filled with the worst creatures. Luckily, the Prince is very acrobatic and will be able to reach easily any place he wants. As for the battles, equipped with a sword, you'll face epic duels in which you'll use time to your advantage. Nonetheless, the dagger doesn't give you unlimited control. You'll need to defeat enemies or pass through sand clouds to replenish its power.
The Prince of Persia: the Sands of Time is a great adventure game which offers many novelties to the series thanks to its unique gameplay. The backgrounds are beautiful, the story intriguing, and the battles intense. Everything in this game calls for you to try it.

Prince of Persia : The Sands of Time reviews
It's fairly short, and it's missing the console versions' bonus features, but Prince of Persia is a truly excellent action adventure game for as long as it lasts.
