Final Fantasy 7 is a role-playing game developed by Square Co. and published by Square Co. in Japan, SCEA in the USA and SCEE in Europe. It is the first game of the series released on the Sony Playstation console and the one which introduced 3D for the entire game. For a generation, it is the best episode of the series and even by some the best video game ever! The game follows the adventures of a group of adventurer who fight against the Shinra, a company that uses the energy of the planet in order to transform it into usable energy and to perform experiment. This will lead our group to learn more about this firm and to understand the enormous challenge of their quest: world security is in danger! The main character is the very charismatic Clad (Cloud in English), an elite soldier who joined a terrorist group that conducts its operations in the industrial city of Midgar. Clad will see his past challenged and you will understand little by little with pleasure all the mysteries surrounding this guy.
As in previous games of the series, in Final Fantasy 7 you move freely on a world map to lead you cities in the cities of sandstone scenario. This gives a very pleasant discovering aspect, with very many places to discover and hidden secondary quests to be accomplished. Another relatively recurring aspect of the series is the turn by turn combat system, it makes your group of adventurer to fight against various monsters. Each person has a bar which is progressing as the battle continue, when this bar is completely full the character can perform an action. Each character has different actions and you have to select the best to defeat the enemies. As in most role-playing, you will find in Final Fantasy 7 a system where you earn experience points during your fighting against various monsters. You will also find items that you can equip to improve your strength, your ability to attack or different items to heal yourself or directly attacking your enemies.
Final Fantasy 7 was an enormous progress in the field of video games thanks to its cinematic which were brilliantly well made and very handsome in those days. The combat system is original system thanks to the materias. This allows you to insert specific objects, matérias in weapons and armour. These stones can unlock skills and special attacks depending on matérias equipped. Moreover, it is possible to combine several matérias on the same item in order to multiply its potential and exploit the functions of these stones. I could not talk about the story that is a very great plot with many unattended events, to understand the full potential of the game there is only one way, playing! Hailed by critics, you can spend very good time with this immersive, beautiful, thoughtful, intelligent, fun and cool game!
