Conflict Desert Storm is a tactical shootergame developed by Pivotal Games and published by SCI, released in 2002 for PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube and PCs. This game features single-player and multiplayer-split-screen modes.

This game generally received positive reviews from the gaming press; it was praised for its fun, pleasant and extremely challenging gameplay; as well as its beautiful design and intriguing objectives.
Conflict Desert Storm takes place during the first Gulf War in the early nineties and offers similarities compared to the Bravo Two Zero and also other real missions from the war.
The game begins just after the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait on August 2, 1990. You learn that during an attempt to destroy one of the bridges crossing the Iraq-Kuwait border, a sniper called Paul Foley is captured, while his partner is killed.

Shortly after John Bradley, a rifleman, is sent in alone to rescue Foley and complete the original mission of destroying the bridge. Rapidly after landing, Bradley comes into a firefight with a small force of Iraqi mechanized infantry. Quickly after rescuing Foley, Bradley completes the mission of destroying the bridge, thus slowing the Iraqi advance.
Then you will take control of a four-man squad; you can play in the British Special Air Service or in the United States Delta Force. You are sent behind enemy lines to command your squad; you will have to complete several types of missions with specific objectives.

For example infiltrate a base, destroy a SAM site, or assassinate an opposing general, or rescuing the Emir of Kuwait, engaging Iraqi forces in the Battle of Khafji, destroying Iraqi early-warning radar, rescuing POWsfrom Baghdad, and leading an advance element of U.S. cavalry in a fight with the Tawalkana Division of the Iraqi Republican Guard.
To complete each mission successfully, you must utilize the skills of each squad member, such as using their demolitions expert to destroy bridges, their heavy weapons specialist to destroy tanks, and so on.

You can both control your men individually or send them orders. You can order them to attack, retreat, follow, stay, and etc. At the end of a mission if you completed it well your men can be rewarded medals for their bravery. And if you perform extremely well you may even be able to earn the Medal of Honor.
You will have to destroy key strategic sites in Iraq. Your team is composed of Bradley (the team leader), Conners (the heavy weapons man), Jones (the explosives and anti-tank expert), and Foley (sniper).

Each of them has different skills; and throughout the game you will have the possibility to build up their skills by killing enemies. If one soldier uses a lot of medikits in a mission, he might become more proficient at healing.
Then as your troops acquire more experience they will gain ranks and upgrade their skills, and when they get better your soldiers become more effective at doing their job.

Conflict Desert Storm also offers you the possibility to play up to four players cooperative with friends, with each person controlling a soldier in your squad.
