Soul Bubbles was developed by Mekensleep and published by Eidos Interactive.
Soul Bubbles is an original puzzle game where you incarnate a young shaman who sends away lost souls. Through the whole game, your souls are trapped in a bubble so you can move them all at once. The point of the game is simple, drive those bubbles to the gate without getting touched or your bubble will burst and you won't have much time to bring them back together. The more you move forward in the game, the harder the puzzle gets as new enemies and hidden passages will appear.
Once again, the Nintendo DS seems to be the perfectly fitting console for this game as most of it, is played on the touch screen. To blow air (to move your bubble) you simply draw the line in which direction you want it to go. You can also, for example, destroy rocks by tapping them to allow your bubble to pass in a narrow space.
If the game might seem short with only 40 puzzles, it will take you awhile to reach the last level and the hidden treasures. Having a little environmentalist side to it, Soul Bubbles is beautifully done with some impressive graphics and details (Petals of flowers blow off if you throw a direct puff of air at it.
Soul Bubbles changes the classic puzzle games that we're used to (tetris likes , bloc breakers, bejeweled) by innovating in an unique environment with different backgrounds each time. This is one of the most beautiful games made for the DS, and for the fans of the genre, it would be a mistake to leave it aside.
