Spectral Force 3 is a tactical RPG developed by Idea Factory and published by Atlus.
Spectral Force is a famous videogame series that was exclusive to the Japan public until this episode. However seen the success the game had on the little island, they had to export it.
The game takes place during the First Neverland War. You're part of the Norius Mercenaries, battling for any of the 10 Nations who are trying to rule Neverland. After your leader dies, Begina becomes the leader of the mercenaries and with your comrade will follow your orders. Being mercenaries, you work for whoever you wish knowing that each nation will pay you differently and give you advantages. Your decision will alternate the course of the war.
Spectral Force 3 is a Tactical RPG with turn-based battles. The maps are divided into squares where your players can move. You can take 6 of your characters to battle against a horde of enemies. At each turn, characters will use Action Points that determine the number of actions you can do. Combats become interesting when you start using the different gauges that will allow creating devastating group attacks.
Spectral Force 3 is an original game with a good plot. You'll spend all your time replaying the game supporting a different nation to conquer the land, offering tons of different possibilities. The game does not bring anything new but is a great alternative to other tactical RPGs. Another Japanese series that we are glad expanded overseas.
