Jack Keane is a point-and-click adventure game developed by Deck13 Interactive and published by Focus Home Interactive, released in 2007 for Windows; this is a single-player game.
Jack Keane is based on the famous LucasArts game The Secret of Monkey Island, as it offers the same kind of cartoonish and colorful visuals, along with the same atmosphere within the game with an evil and nasty enemy, pirates and so on.
But obviously Jack Keane also has its own particularities that make it an interesting game. It was generally well-received by critics for its beautiful graphics and the sensibility of the puzzles, quite difficult but extremely interesting to solve.
The game is also full of references and jokes that you will really enjoy, just like Star Wars parodies or Flintstones styles technology (monkey-powered electricity) and so on.
The game takes place during the 19th century, at that the British Empire was the most powerful country in the world.
You will have to gather items to solve the puzzles by exploring the levels and talking with the non-playable character. You will be able to combine your items and create some new. There are also bonus items that can be used to solve the bonus riffles.
You will play as Jack Keane, a kind of adventurer who is in trouble because he has debts; he owns a boat The Charming Princess that has an esteemed reputation of fastness.
At the beginning of the game you are in London. You are waiting in the Big Ben Tower, what you do not know is that two guys have been sent as debt collectors, and they are very insistent on getting the money back.

Your mission is extremely important; indeed the mad Dr. T. is preparing an evil operation; he has invented a tea-eating plant to destroy the tea-plantations of the British Empire in order to for the British to buy their tea from him.
Your mission will consist of saving the British Empire s economy.
