WALL-E is videogame adaptation from the movie by the same title. It was published and developed by THQ.
The game follows the same story as the movie. As to say, you start as WALL-E, the only robot still on earth left there to clean up the trash. You'll have different missions where you'll have the opportunity to create little trash cubes and clean up an area. After a long start, Eve finally arrives on earth and you both leave to explore space.
The game lets you control both character in different locations extracted from the film. Each zone will have you solving complex puzzles with some platforming elements. Eve is actually much more fun to play as she can fly around at will. Further in the game, you'll also have a few action scenes where you'll need to destroy armies of robots. For the next-gen consoles, you'll explore 9 worlds, each with different objectives and missions. The PS3 and XBOX360 versions offer a co-op mode where you'll be able to play the game as both Eve and Wall-E which makes the game more interesting.
WALL-E's magic is well transcribed in the videogame and the in-game movies are really close to the film. The humor and cuteness are of course well present and you'll attach yourself really quickly to the characters. You'll have to finish the game several times to unlock all the bonuses (such as sequences from the film) and will add to the game's length.
WALL-E is unfortunately a game based for kids (while the movie is for all ages) and takes out some of the magic for the older public. Nevertheless the game follows really well the movie, and anyone can enjoy this loveable little robot.
