Supreme Ruler 2020 is the sequel to Supreme ruler 2010 released in 2006 and developed by BattleGoat. It is an economic, political and military strategy game, all in real time. The game is a single as well as a multiplayer game

This game was long awaited by the fans as its predecessor came as more than promising and brought a new outlook to strategic game play. The main goal of SR 2020 remains unchanged to its antecedent as you guide the nation of your choice through all the problems of the 21st century (international plots, economic crises, war?). You play a president or prime minister with the power of decision in all of your country's affairs (both foreign and domestic). You have absolute freedom to decide in which direction you will lead your country by setting policies and checking them off under each minister's area (defense, trade, state department...). For example, you can choose to get completely involved in military and order a "massive military buildup" or take the more peaceful side by prioritizing "family subsidies and health care".

Nevertheless, you'll have to pay attention to the many factors of the game as foreign debt, unemployment, inflation, GDP levels, interest rates, lack of raw and finished goods will be your daily occupations and are the key to a powerful nation.

Supreme Ruler 2020 brings a lot of new features. As before you choose actual military vehicles to research, build, and deploy and of course the list has been lengthened. There is a new sophisticated diplomatic interface, allowing for more thorough negotiations. The play styles include regional battles, missions, and campaigns. There is also the online game up to 16 players. However, the absence of online matching service forces you to connect to other gamers through direct IP.
