Resistance 2 is a first person shooter videogame developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game is exclusive to the PlayStation 3.
After the success of the first episode, it was just a matter of time before a sequel appeared. Well, it's finally here and it doesn't deceive. Resistance 2 will once again send you to fight the horrible Chimera and their unstoppable invasion on the planet Earth.
If the first game took place in London, Resistance 2 completely changes settings and sends us to the United States. At the end of Resistance: Fall of Man, the main protagonist, Nathan Hale was infected with the Chimeran virus but seemed resistant to it. Brought to the US by the army, he realizes that he isn't the only one to survive the virus, these men are called "Sentinels". They are here to protect one of the last remaining countries on Earth. But quickly, on May 15, 1953, the Chimera launch their invasion and you will once again have to defend your freedom.
Resistance 2 is the direct sequel to Fall of Man and thus, the game is very similar in terms of gameplay. But in the innovations, weapons can now be dual-wielded and new ones are introduced (such as "The Marksman"), 12 new types of Chimera enemies appear, and many boss battles. But Resistance 2 bets mainly on the cooperative gameplay. You can either play offline via split screen or online up to 8 players. The multiplayer has of course, not been forgotten with up to 60 players online in the mode "Skirmish".
Resistance 2 continues perfectly what Fall of Man did and offers the best FPS on the PS3. The story is still fascinating, enemies have never been so tough and impressive but mainly the fun is still here. Plus with the improve co-op mode, you'll be able to share this adventure with many friends. A must have for any PS3 owner.
