Diehard fans will be pleased that they can take Dynasty Warriors with them everywhere, but if you haven't been impressed by the series lately, this handheld installment won't do anything to reel you in.

Dynasty Warriors on the PSP is exactly as you'd expect, except for one significant difference: a permanent map window on the right-hand side of the screen. Considering that it takes up almost a third of the screen, it's a little surprising at first -- most every other PSP title uses the full 16 x 9 screen for game action. Hands-on time spent with the game at the 2004 Tokyo Game Show didn't really demonstrate the necessity of the map, but we can only assume that it's there to deliver a greater emphasis on strategy for this handheld Dynasty Warriors incarnation.
