Star Wars Battlefront is a first/third person shooter developed by Pandemic Studios and published by LucasArts.
Star Wars Battlefront is one of the rare shooters in the Star Wars series actually capable of giving you a Star Wars experience. The game is beautiful and takes you through out all the locations depicted in the movies.
The game lets you control one of four factions that exist in the films from both trilogies. Either you play the first trilogy, with either the Galactic Republic or the Confederacy of Independent Systems, or the classic one, with the Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Empire. However you won't be able to mix them up and each faction can only play its historical adversary.
The game is based on battles all over the galaxies in the locations visited by the movies. During each battle, you'll have a certain amount of reinforcement available. The first team to use all of them has lost. Each faction has different types of units that you will be able to select at the beginning of the game or after you died. You can either win by destroying the other army or by controlling the different command posts in the location. To do so, apart from your units, you'll be able to use all sorts of vehicles taken from the Star Wars universe that will grandly help you but you'll also be able to use heroes. Heroes are special units from each faction such as Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Count Dooku, etc. They are stronger, more efficient and are a key to your success. However, if they get killed during combat, you won't be able to revive them so be careful when using them.
The game also comes with an online multiplayer deathmatch. As the name says, all players are in an arena and the point is either to destroy the others or control the command posts. Star Wars Battle front also lets you create your own maps that you can share and play on the internet.
Star Wars Battlefront, a part from being a great adaptation from the movie, is an incredible shooter that you won't get tired of. With many different worlds and many different units, you'll feel you're in an actual Star Wars and you'll have to do anything to survive. May the force be with you!
Star Wars: Battlefront delivers a satisfying team-based shooter experience that many hardcore Star Wars fans will probably enjoy greatly.

Back when videogames were invented by L. Phineas Videogame in the year 1981, the population at large was fully enamored with Star Wars, a documentary of sorts about the lost art of space combat and the aliens who invented the English language. "Give us a game with these 'snowspeeders' and 'laser swords' so that we might reenact the wars of ancient times!" they cried. But Phineas' primitive technology could not provide the masses with what they desired, so they bludgeoned him to death with their shoes.
