Pikmin 2 is the direct sequel of Pikmin 1 and released on Game cube. This real-time strategy refer you on the planet in the first Pikmin. You embody Captain Olimar and this time you have a partner, Louie! You go with him to this planet to discover buried treasures. Olimar want to resell them in order to save his company.
Assisted by Pikmin, you have 201 treasures to collect! As in Pikmin 1, you can use your army of Pikmin to survive on this dangerous planet. In Pikmin 2 there are 2 new types of Pikmin with white and purple Pikmin. The white Pikmin are invulnerable with poison and they poison their enemies if they eat them, purple Pikmin are 10 times heavier than normal Pikmin and they are also 10 times stronger!
As in the latest Pikmin game you have to collect flower pistils or dead enemies in order to create new Pikmin for your army. There is no more the oppressive limit of time from the first opus. In this game you can control 2 armies at the same time! You can also play multiplayer against a friend. Pikmin 2 is a more complete version and is the continuation of the story of Pikmin!
