Pokemon FireRed is a role playing game developed and published by Nintendo for Game Boy Advance.

All the Pokemon video games have been being a real hit for years. As a matter of fact, more than 20 millions copies of the first two versions of the game (Pokemon blue and Pokemon red) were sold, being the record of sales for a video game. Many other versions were released, and Pokemon FireRed is a remake of the original versions (blue and red)

The concept of the game remains the same as always. The goal is to become the most powerful Pokemon owner, by trying to catch them all, train them so as to make them more powerful, and make them battle. You start the set choosing your character and your first Pokemon, and then you will have to cross a long trip in Kanto's area in order to catch your Pokemons, make them evolve and try to defeat the arena's masters of each town. In Pokemon FireRed, the 150 pokemons of the red and blue version are available, so are the pokemons of more recent versions, which gives the possibility to catch several hundreds of pokemons. In addition, 9 islands were added, and it is now possible to make your pokemons fight two versus two

You are allowed to carry a maximum of six Pokemons who will fight for you against those of other Pokemon owners. Fights happen in turn by turn. Every Pokermon belongs to a category, and every category has its advantages and weaknesses against other ones. Hence, Pokemons will have to be chosen carefully and strategically before every fight regarding the opponent. Thus, a water Pokemon will be very efficient against a fire or a rock Pokemon, but will be completely dominated by an electric Pokemon for instance.

With the link cable or thanks to a wireless adapter, it is still possible to exchange your pokemons with those of your friends, and you can now with up to 4 friends in battles or mini-games.
