Conflict: Desert Storm II

Conflict Desert Storm II Back to Baghdad is a tactical shooter game developed by Pivotal Games and published SCi and Gotham Games, released in 2003 for PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube and Gizmondo. This game features single-player, multiplayer-split screen, and cooperative modes.

This game generally received positive reviews from the gaming press; it the sequel to the game Conflict Desert Storm; it was praised for its interesting and challenging gameplay and storyline; it also features much more details within the game.

Conflict Desert Storm II takes place during the first Gulf War in the early nineties and offers similarities compared to the Bravo Two Zero and also other real missions from the war. You and your squad of four highly-specialized soldiers are ordered back to Iraq to complete some unfinished missions. Your team members will remain the same; the team is composed of John Bradley (team leader and rifleman), Paul Foley (sniper), Mick Connors (heavy weapons), David Jones (combat engineer and medic).
At the beginning of Conflict Desert Storm II you can choose to play as American Delta Force members, or as British SAS personnel.

You will have ten different missions to achieve and you will dispose of more weapons and more vehicles too. Each mission has its own settings and unique objectives and some of these objectives are only revealed while you are advancing throughout the game.

You will have to use different tactics, such as focusing on a head on approach or by using stealth against a variety of forces from the Iraqi military.

Conflict: Desert Storm II reviews

If you're really into squad-based military action games, Desert Storm II might be worth a look, despite the unfortunate absence of any multiplayer features.
