The Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker is an action/adventure game developed and published by Nintendo.
The Legend of Zelda has been improving from episode to episode adding always great novelties and a great epic story. It is no wonder that today the franchise represents some of the best games ever made (The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is considered by many to be the best game ever made. This new episode surprised all the fans as it doesn't look at all like its previous N64 mature games. The entire graphics have been rethought to change Link into a cartoon like appearance (using cel-shading).
The story is also brand new as you live in a world of sea with many islands. You're a boy living with your sister and grandmother on the Outset Island when suddenly you see a giant bird carrying a woman into a forest. You rescue Tetra, captain of a pirate ship, just moments before your sister Aryll gets kidnapped as well. After some events you discover that Ganon is back, and a whole new adventure begins.
The game play is pretty much the same as its N64 predecessors (Ocarina of time and Majora's Mask). You still move, run and attack the same way (with automatics jumps still here). As any Zelda game, you still have the enormous amount of weapons at your disposal: bow, boomerang, bombs and the famous grappling hook. However the Wind Waker also brings novelties such as everything at sea. You control the winds, and thus your boat, you'll have naval battles (you can buy new weapons for your boat and customize it entirely), and treasure hunts amongst others.
The Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker continues the series' legacy as one of the best games for the GameCube. Many have decided to avoid this game due to its childish appearance, but that is a huge mistake! It is an amazing game at every level and for all ages. If you're a fan of the series or simply love this kind of game, Wind Waker won't let you down and will offer one of the best Zelda experience yet.
