Enclave is an action game developed by Starbreeze Studios and published by Swing, Conspiracy Games and Vivendi Universal Games, released in 2002 for Xbox and Windows. It is a single-player game.

It received mixed critics; indeed some critics praised its very beautiful and outstanding environments and graphics, and its motivating and interesting storyline whereas other asserted that the close combats were really poor and uninteresting. You will have to make your own opinion.

Enclave takes place in a fantasy world in which magic is predominant. A millennia ago the land of Celenheim was separated into two sides after an awful and long war, the light side and the dark side.

On the Dark Side, twisted forms struggled to survive, while slowly growing more powerful, and preparing to invade the Light Side (the Enclave) once again.

So you can decide to play as a character of the Light or the Dark Side, depending on your choice you will have to accomplish several tasks, but your main objective will be to invade the Light side (Dark side player), or protecting the Enclave (Light side player).

To accomplish your tasks you will have to use several weapons, such as swords, bows, etc. To help you have shields available, as well as a select few potions. You will also dispose of armors.

In Enclave you have to choose to play as a warrior of Light, which includes several classes, each class has its own particularities and abilities.

There are the knights, who are strong warriors, revered and feared for their bravery an valor in combat; huntress of Aylewood, who are mobile nimble, quite mysterious but very good for fighting; the Wizards, who are powerful wielders of elemental magic and dispose of a wide variety of spells; the engineers, who are gnomes but skilled craftsmen and workers, very important for the people of Enclave; the Haflings, who are most of the time spies extremely agile and fast.

You can also play with the 9320 battle droid but this is a bonus character that you will have to unlock by collecting 13,000 gold coins in the light campaign.

You can also choose to play as a Minion of Darkness that includes the Berserkers, who are the strongest warriors in the Ogre clans; the Assassins of Ark Moore, who are especially trained from birth to become dangerous warriors; the Sorceress, who are powerful wielders of magic; the Lich, who are creatures returning from death and extremely dangerous; the Bombardiers, who are and deranged fanatics they do not hesitate to sacrifice themselves; the Goblins, who are small creatures fast and vicious but who have not a lot of physical strength.

You can also unlock a dark side character called Fetica, when you find all the gold in the dark campaign.

Enclave also features numerous non-playable characters that will help you or slow you down during your campaign.
