Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem is a survival horror game released on GameCube. It is largely inspired by H.P. Lovecraft works. Developed by Silicon Knights and edited by Nintendo; the game was first released on November 2002.

This game makes you travelling through time and space with twelve characters along 2000 years and discovering the greatest Humanity past secrets.

In this trip in Eternal Darkness, former Antic Rome, you are a student named Alexandra Roivas who decides to go back to the United States, in Rhode Island to investigate on the mysterious death of your grandfather but you will soon be the victim of strange events.

By visiting your grandfather's mansion and reading a book, you will live the life of various people and will have to understand the secrets that lie beneath two thousands year of human conquest.

Thanks to this book called The Tome of Eternal Darkness, you will first experience a scene in the life of Pious Augustus, a respected Roman Centurion in 26 BC.

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem will make you fight with weapons of the era you're in, being a centurion or a member of a dangerous gang!
