The SimCity Box is a package including SimCity 4, its expansion Rush Hour, SimCity Societies, its expansion Destinations, and The Sims Carnival: Snap City. The games were published and developed by Electronic Arts.

Will Wright is known to be one of the most innovative creators in the video game industry. He is no other than the creator of the most sold franchise, the Sims. But before that series was launched, he started with Simcity, a simulation that puts you the place of a mayor. You have to develop a city from scratch and be careful to the well being of its citizens and infrastructures. The SimCity Box offers you the chance to play the 4rth episode as well as its expansion (mainly adding more importance to traffic).

In addition, the package also comes with SimCity Societies; a version based more on your citizens than on the city construction. You have to take into account societal factors such as creativity and knowledge which will have a direct effect on your city. The package also includes its expansion, destinations, focused on tourism.

The last game that comes with SimCity Box is The Sims Carnival: Snap City. It is an online community based on the Sims that gives the users the opportunity to play as a game developer in new games. Snap City is a SimCity like game with an arcade/strategy aspect.

Finally, as a bonus, the package also adds Spore Creature Creator, which is a demo of Will Wright's up-coming game Spores.

The SimCIty Box is a great package, especially for the ones who have never played the series allowing you to discover a little bit of each series.
