Death Jr. is an action and adventure platform game developed by Backbone Entertainment and published by Konami, released in 2005 originally for the PSP and later for Wii in 2006. This is a single-player game.

This game was generally well-received by critics; as it was the first game developed for the PSP the gaming press had high expectations concerning it and most of them were quite satisfied but some considered that the result could have been even better.

Nevertheless the atmosphere ( Tim Burton s movies-like) of the game, its storyline remain extremely interesting and captivating. It features some nice gameplay elements and an enjoyable adventure and its quirky characters. The game is also full of humor and references.

Death Jr. tells you the story of DJ who is the teenager son of the Grim Reaper. DJ is a very special guy who also has problems in the schools that he attended (for example he killed half of his sixth grade class by accident) and he also has had several cats that he always killed. He is kind and brave and never gives up, but he does not notice that him and his friends are quite weird.

But this time it his last chance and his father warns him if he creates chaos once more he will be sent to military school. In this new school he rapidly has new friends who will follow him in his adventure.

There are Pandora a cute gothic girl with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and a thing for locked boxes (DJ has a crush on her); Stigmartha, a girl who bleeds from her hands whenever she is nervous; Smith and Weston, conjoined twins who are very smart; the Seep, an armless, legless, foul-mouthed kid in vat; and the Dead Guppy, a character who speaks for himself.

The friends go on a field trip to a museum, where they find a locked box that Pandora wants opened, so DJ opens it to impress her. Unfortunately, all hell breaks loose and demons run amok. It is up to DJ ( and consequently to you) to stop them, revert the town back to normal, all the while making sure dad doesn't find out.
The main villain of the game is Moloch, who is released when DJ opens the box. He holds Pandora captive during the game.

Throughout the game you will have to go through the levels by shooting everything and at the end of each level defeating the boss. DJ s main attacks include a series of guns, which he earns at the end of each level, and his trusty, oversized scythe.

DJ can shoot everything from electric bursts to hamsters with C4 strapped to them. Some of the weapons are great; there are electric gun, rocket launcher, flamethrower, freezethrower, etc.
