Man oh man did EA Sports sack the football competition (with its checkbook, mind you), as the company
surprised everyone when it secured an exclusive five-year licensing agreement with the National Football
League. Now that the playing field is empty, does this mean that Johnny Ballgame will simply crap out
another sequel? After looking at the 2006 edition (and six different versions), we'd say Madden's still
at the top of its game.
