The Sims Carnival is an online community based on the series The Sims. This game was developed and published by Electronic Arts.

The Sims Carnival allows player to create games thanks to a game editor, therefore the players become the designers. Snap City is one of the games launched that you can directly download from the EA Link site.

What happens when you combine two of the greatest games together? You get Snap City. This game is a mix between SimCity and Tetris. How is that possible? Well, you take the Tetris basics, dropping blocks to form a line, but you use it in a 3D environment. The blocks you drop are of three colors, blue, yellow and green (SimCity element, each color representing, commercial, residential and industrial), and you use them to form bigger spaces to allow constructions. Just like SimCity, you'll have to build roads and special buildings (police station, fire station, hospital, etc.) to keep your town in good shape.

Nevertheless, you'll have to be careful as natural disasters are part of this game as well as riots and others. The game has two modes, creativity and story. The creativity one will allow you to develop your city as you wish while the story mode will have you following specific objectives (such as construct a police station and fight crime).

Snap City is a very original game mixing the best elements from both series. However, if you're a fan of both of them, you might find that the game is a little light (Missing some core elements from SimCity and not as addictive as Tetris).
