Final Fantasy XII is a game developed and published by Square Enix. It was published by Ubisoft in Europe. The story takes place in the fantasy world of Ivalice which contain two powerful empires which are fighting: Archadia and Rozarria. The adventure focuses on the city of Dalmasca which was annexed by the Archadia empire. The story begins with Vaan, a thief who hate seeing his city to become under the boot of these invaders. After a few unexpected adventures he ended up joining the resistance movement that leads the princess Ashe against the occupier.

Final Fantasy XII gives you the opportunity to play with charismatic and enjoyable characters. This is an important aspect of final fantasy who managed once again to give life to great heroes. In addition to Vaan and Princess Ashe, you discover characters and people with very different fates. You will encounter even a few characters and you will find unexpected delights with the moogles who are present in each episode of the series.

The Final Fantasy XII game offers a wonderful new combat system. The new system called Active Dimension Battle which had totally undermine the community. Indeed, the system lap per lap is no longer in that opus and everything happens in real time. You control your character a little like a mmorpg. The view is centred on the back of character and you walk in areas to visit. This gives the impression that the phases of exploration and combat phases are not segmented. You have to be careful, as in mmorpg, not to attract the sight of too many monsters at the same time if you want to stay alive. When a skill or a magic is cast there is a progressing bar and then a character can do a action when that is completed. You control directly a character and two others are with you to help in your fighting, they are controlled by a great system of Gambits.

Final Fantasy XII also provides access to a system of Gambit. They are a kind of mini artificial intelligences that you can assign characters that you do not control directly. Thus, in battle you can activate this mode and each character will use automatically the gambit that will be assigned if a condition is met. For example, one can assign a gambit that says if a person has less than 20% of its life and since that the player launch a potion on this character. Another example can be done to launch a spell on a monster if it flies rather than trying to touch it with a the sword, there will be more damage. So this is a good way to cure themselves in combat and this limits the repetitive actions.

The world of Final Fantasy XII is headed by Judges. That is why it requires a permit for each weapon, armour or even magic. While fighting you earn specific points that you can spend to unlock these famous permit. Each character starts therefore at the centre of its grid and can move to unblock the right to equip new armour and much more. It is by this way that you can unlock a Esper on a specific character when it is discovered. But beware, when a character is assigned to an Esper, the other characters can not unlock and only this character could use it. As usual, you can find a great number of different spells and many armour and weapons to buy in stores you visit. The more you go deeper in the game and the more equipment you find.

Final Fantasy XII also introduces the system of contract. This can be seen as a result of secondary quest but it can help you greatly in your quest. The rewards of contracts are interesting and it will help you to arrive to destroy the hardness monsters. This system allows you to start special quests that asks you every time to kill a specific monster. These quests offer you to be a mercenary and kill these creatures. Obviously, it can be regarded as boss because the difficulty is well. If you manage to pass a large number of contracts you can even become a member of one of brotherhoods known to chase away monsters. And' who knows what the final cache contracts could conduct you and what the reward that goes with it. That is something that gives a second breath in the game and restores the interest to those who have completed the main quest or those who are in no hurry to see the end coming.

It is also possible in Final Fantasy XII to invoke Espers. These are powerful creatures that can fight at your site. There are many Espers to unlock in the game and some of these invocations are very well hidden! In combat, the character who discovered the Esper thanks to the permits. When the summoning begins, a progressing bar come and takes care to the end of it and a very nice animation starts showing the arrival of your Esper. The man has been invoked only against then remains monsters on the battlefield and its allies disappear. Only his summoning remains at its side to fight and if it launches attacks enough without dying when it begins its super attack! A devastating way to overcome the toughest enemies! It is also possible to launch this attack if your Esper survive long enough without dying. You should also pay attention to the character who has invoked the beast because if it dies it make the summoning disappears. The problem with this system is that if you finish a fight with a Esper, experience points are awarded only to the characters appearing and then, only to the summoner.
