Resistance: Fall of Man is a first person shooter videogame developed by Insomniac Games and published by SCEA. The game is exclusive to Playstation 3.

Have you ever wondered what would the world be like if in the 50's aliens invaded earth? Resistance goes back in history and tells us the story of that time where men fought to preserve the Human Race from extinction.
History didn't happen the way we remember it. After the 1st World War, European countries decided to unite and have peace. This prevented the famous following events such as the Great Depression and of course the rise of the Nazis (thus no 2nd World War). However Russia has isolated itself from the rest of the world and in 1921, the country went into a complete communications blackout. Rumors started spreading about what was going on inside the country and all European intelligence agencies tried to have more information. The horror happened in December 1949 when the Russian wall they had built around its frontiers is breached by some chimera. These creatures are clearly from outer space and spread quickly all over Europe killing everyone in their path. Not only are they merciless but they use human bodies to create new chimera. The last English forces fight back and you of course are a part of them.

Resistance is an FPS that separates itself from other games by its unique ambience and particular arsenal. You'll be able to use actual 1950's weaponry as well as the futuristic weapons of the chimera. The weapons each have their own abilities and certain weapons allow you to shoot through walls and create a field that protects you from other bullets. You will have to take into account these details as they are very important to elaborate a strategy and also, if you don't you'll die.

Resistance: Fall of Man is the first great FPS the Ps3 has to offer and should be played by all means. Not only the game has an intriguing story, but the graphics are beautiful and the gameplay perfectly adapted. A captivating game that has the potential to be one of the best FPS series on the next-gen console.
