Wii Sports is a sport game released in November 2006 with the Wii console, developed and published by Nintendo. The game is included in the Wii pack and is not sold separately (except in Japan). The game has a tremendous success and has been sold over 18 million copies around the world (this also takes into account the Wii Sports copies of the Wii packages).
Wii Sports includes 5 games corresponding to 5 sports: golf, boxing, bowling, tennis and baseball. All these games use the motion recognition of the console, the wiimote, and the nunchuk for the boxing game.
Playable up to 4 players, the game of golf makes you mimic the swings with the wiimote, the aim being to consider the environment in order to throw the ball into the holes, making the fewest shots as possible. For boxing, playable up to 2 players, we have to plug the nunchuk on the wiimote and use both as boxing gloves to punch the opponent. The bowling game consists in throwing the ball with the wiimote after having chosen your position and trajectory, in order to overthrow as much pins as possible. The tennis, certainly the funniest game of all, is played up to 4 players. We have to return the ball by imitating drives and backhands, without having to care about the movement of Mii on the screen. Finally baseball, playable up to 2 players, alternates phase of pitching and reception of the ball with the bat.
By using all the functionalities of the Wii, Wii Sports is a very convivial game, which allows good slice of fun in perspective, whether with family or friends. Because of its simple and intuitive gameplay, Wii Sports is accessible to everyone.
