Final Fantasy VI offers an extraordinary adventure in a medieval fantasy world that is going into ruin. Around 1000 before, a war began between Humans and Espers, a race in total harmony with magic. War finally ended in a draw and each of the two races don't make any exchange since that. Humans forgot the existence of Magic and now believe that is only a myth. However, the human Empire has developed a new technology named Magitek. This combination of mechanical and magic is really destructive and you can control a machine using these powers at the very beginning of the game. You'll quickly confront Kefka, a nasty and unscrupulous officer of the empire who seeks power after all!
In Final Fantasy VI you earn experience points, objects and money by fighting monsters. They also give you a variety of items and armour to heal and improve your warriors. Similarly, as one goes along in the adventure, you can visit various stores to buy the latest weapons and armours to optimize the power of your characters. With the experience points you can earn levels and thereby get into new areas with monsters always stronger. After a while can even control the command of a zeppelin that allow you to travel freely anywhere you want. Many secondary quests are available and it will take a long time if you want to end entirely this opus.
Final Fantasy VI uses the Active Time Battle. In this one, you control 4 characters at the same time and you must to wait until the loading bar of a character is completed before this one can perform an action. Once this condition is ok, you can meet different choices according to the characters but it is generally Attack, Magic, then Item and special skills of each character. Attacking will inflict a direct hit on the enemy but it deals relatively limited damage. The magic is used to inflict more consistent damage but it is also useful if one wants to cast a spell of healing on the group of character, each character has an amount of Mana point and you'll have to go to a Inn in order to retrieve it or to use a Ether even if this object is relatively rare. The items are all kinds and any way it can be potion to regenerate life of your characters or even a magic stone to start to inflict damage.
