300: March to Glory is a hack and slash videogame adapted from the 300 movie. It was developed by Collision Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive. The game was released exclusively on PSP.

After the success of 300, we can wonder why there were no videogame adaptations on the major gaming consoles. However, the PSP had the luck to have such game. But was it worth it?

The game follows the story of both the comic and the movie. As to say, you are King Leonidas and you have to defend your lands from the Persian invasion. Set to conquer the world, the god-king Xerces has absolutely no pity and he won't hesitate to murder every man, woman or children to spread his empire. Along with 300 men, you'll prove to Xerces that he is not welcome in Sparta!

Just like the movie, you'll fight against thousands of Persians. Warriors, archers, spearmen, immortals, they're all here to try to take your lands away from you. In this hack and slash game, you'll have many weapons at your disposal which can be upgraded so as armors. Your shield will be essential to your survival at it is not only your main defense but can also be used to attack. Further in the game, you'll be able to let it go to wield two weapons at the same time. The action varies against huge beast or many enemies at the same time as you'll be able to call on your fellow soldiers and create a phalanx formation and give enormous amount of damage.

300: March to Glory is unfortunately not even close to the standards of the movie or the comic. Even if very exciting at the beginning, the game quickly becomes repetitive and no aspect of the game will change that. But for the ones who want to live the adventure of 300 and to be in the shoes of the mighty Leonidas, there is no better game.

300: March to Glory reviews

It's a simplistic hack-and-slash that tends to get painfully repetitive, but 300: March to Glory has its moments.
