Enchanted Arms is science-fiction and fantasy¬-based role -playing game developed and published by From Software, released in 2006 for Xbox 360 and in 2007 for PlayStation 3. This game features a single-player mode as well as an online mode.

This game received mixed reviews from the gaming press; it was praised for its enjoyable, fun and challenging battle system, funny dialogues; but it was also criticized for its lack of originality regarding its storyline.

The game takes place in a fictional fantasy universe. 1,000 years ago a Great War occurred called the Golem War that laid waste the entire world. Indeed the golems were man-made creatures extremely powerful but self-aware who fought each other.

The golems continued the war for many years, but eventually stopped functioning. The world was eventually rebuilt, and the reasons for the Great War have been forgotten. In modern area where the action takes place the golems now serve mankind.

At the beginning of the game you discover the main protagonists Atsuma, Makoto and Toya who are students at the Enchanter s University in Yokohama city. They study to become enchanters and also learn about topics such as the man-made golems.

One day while they are skipping class to attend a local festival, an apparent earthquake occurs. In addition to this the golems in the area appear to have gone berserk and are now attacking people.

The three go back to the university they discover that the mysterious sealed ward had been opened and that the world is in chaos. They try to discover what happened the group meets the Queen of Ice, a Devil Golem sealed long ago.

But with her immense Ether capacity and regeneration power, she overwhelms the three, she takes Toya as ice falls on Makoto. Atsuma strikes back, guided by a mysterious voice, using his right arm that turns into something out of the ordinary that could harm a Devil Golem.

You will have to face evil creatures and try to save your friend and the world throughout the game.

There are other characters you can talk to and various items to find; as you progress through the game the story unfolds through numerous cutscenes. A variety of skills and attacks are available for each character, and as you level up additional abilities can be learned.

You will need help for the battles; Enchanted Arms offers you the possibility to make golems which can fight with you. And to make a golem you will need to find the core materials and magical gems necessary for the type of golem you wish to create; these items can be acquired by winning battles or can be found and bought in quest mode.

The different golems have different abilities, so you will need to decide which ones will be the most effective for upcoming battles.
