Medal Of Honor

Medal Of Honor

Developper : DreamWorks Interactive | Editor : Electronic Arts

Medal of Honor is the first title in the long-running Medal of Honor series of video games.

It was released in November 1999 for the PlayStation; it was developed by DreamWorks Interactive and published by Electronic Arts. In addition to this the original story was created by Steven Spielberg.

According to IGN the game was #21 on their list of the 25 Games of all Time.

For the whole series of video games you play as the Lieutenant Jimmy Patterson (fictional character) who was recruited by the OSS (Office of Strategic Services).

The game takes place during the near end of the Second World War (about mid 1944, mid-1945). The goal of each game is the same: achieve the mission given by the OSS.

That is to say kill the German enemies, destroy enemy positions and so on.

For example in Rescue the G3 Officer: Patterson has to infiltrate a u-Boat facility in Bremen.

In Escape the V2 Rocket Plan: Patterson is sent to Germany once again to destroy a German V2 rocket.

The most remarkable element of those games is the quality of the music background composed by Michael Giacchino, which reflects the mood of the action on the screen.
