Lost in Time is an adventure computer game developed and published by Coktel Vision released in 1993 for Ms Dos. This is a single-player game.
Lost in time is the one of the first game that used the Full Motion Video Technology and contained four graphical elements.
It was not a financial success for the company but the critics concerning it were quite good and positive. It was considered as an enjoyable and pleasant game, quite original.
The game puzzles are really fun and great, and it features live-actor and their acting is really funny, and it sometimes parodies some marvel comics.
Lost in Time is also one of the rare adventure game that has a female main character. You will play as Doralice Prunelier who is an extremely resourceful woman, a kind of female Mc Gyver, who is also very good at improvisation.
At the beginning of the game you learn a little about Doralice. She has just inherited an old manor on the coast with a very beautiful view. But someone attempted to kill Doralice; that is why she decided to discover who attacked her and why.
You will soon be involved in amazing adventures, that will lead through times and you will even discover a plot against you to avoid your birth led by a very dangerous criminal man Jarlath Equs.
You begin the adventure by regaining consciousness on an old sailing ship. This is the starting point of the mystery as you do not even know where you are.
All what you manage to remember is that you were visiting your manor when you suddenly awake in another place and apparently in another time.
You do not know what to do except exploring the place. You will have to solve some problems such escaping from the boat, opening a locked chest, and mainly draining water from the ship.
You will rapidly meet two other characters and one of them, Melkior, is a time-traveler like you; in reality he is a secret agent from the future sent to help her. Thanks to him you will understand what is happening and you will start to understand the intrigue.
Jarlath is in reality an evil man who travels in time to steal nuclear materials to use them as weapons, and it appears that he is also Doralice s ancestors and the true owner of the manor. His main aim is to destroy Doralice s family.
You and Melkior will track him down through several time periods.
If you have difficulties throughout the game you will dispose of three jokers that will give you some clues and help you to overpass these problems. But once you used them all you can only rely on your mind.
