Burnout Paradise is racing/driving game developed by Criterion Games and published by Electronic Arts.
The fifth installment of the fastest racing game franchise has arrived bringing with it the potential of the next-gen consoles. Races are fasters, crashes are bigger, and danger is evermore present. Everything that was present in the previous games hasn't been forgotten and on the contrary has been improved.
The first and major change noticed is the open world. No longer will you have to go through menus to select what you want to do and with no more loading times. In other words, you'll be able to go full speed and crash as long as you want and wherever you want. Concerning the crashes, they are more realistic than ever taking into account every detail of how the car should be wrecked and having consequences on the game (the worst the state of your car, the slower you will start driving again).
The game comes with many game modes that have all been modified. Even the classics races are different. The time where you had a specific circuit to follow is over. Now all you have is a starting point and a finish line, it's up to you to get there the way you see fit. Road Rage is another classic mode where you have a target that you have either to takedown or to exceed. Marked man is a new mode in which you are the target and you have to do everything to survive. Being an arcade game, each crash, jump or drift you do will bring you points and in the mode Stunt Run, that's the point: to reach the highest score. Finally there is the Burning route which is a race against time with a specific car. Like in all the Burnouts, there is tons of stuff to unlock by winning races or achieving your goals.
The Burnout series have successfully passed on the next-gen with Paradise. The game is stunning, the animations are impressive and...you can go really fast and create enormous crashes! This is the arcade racing game to have as no other can provide such an experience.
