Atlantis: the Lost Tales is a fantasy adventure computer game developed by Cryo Interactive and released in 1997 for Sega Saturn, DOS, and Windows. It is a single-player game and a first-person adventure game. Thanks to its success this game gave birth to 5 sequels.

Atlantis has sumptuous full-screen graphics for its time, and very impressive 3D environment (the entire game is in 3D), and a very beautiful soundtrack. You will also enjoyed short and nice cinematic while playing.

When you will progress through the game you will have to solve various puzzles of varying difficulty. Some puzzles are extremely abstract and the solution is completely unexpected, whereas other puzzles are very simple.

You play as Seth, who goes to Atlantis for the first time to become a guardian of the queen. But he soon discovers that the queen was forced to abduct and that she disappeared.

You will have to leave the city to start searching the queen. You will discover that you are in fact in the middle of a power struggle and that there are many mysteries in Atlantis.

As Atlantis is a quite difficult game you will have to remain extremely cautious all the time. If you do not you could be killed in a few seconds.

Atlantis : The Lost Tales reviews

Even veteran adventurers can expect 20 hours or more of gameplay from Atlantis, but that's only because of the sorry save-game feature and the obtuse puzzles.
