Doom 3 is survival horror video game developed by id Software and published by Activision

Finally, after years of waiting, Doom 3 is finally here. The original Doom was a pillar of the FPS games and considered to be the most influential game of all times. Ever since, a new genre has appeared: Doom-like games. Well, the series has finally decided to update its game to today's standards.

It is the year 2145; the Union Aerospace Corporation is the largest company in the universe and has a facility in Mars. This facility is where most of the game will be played. It's of course a research facility where experiments have gone terribly wrong (as always). The teleportation experiments have failed sending a shockwave through Mars. All the personnel is changed into Zombies and while other beasts come through the created teleporter's portal. You, a marine soldier, are sent to investigate and to resolve the problems. The question is will you survive?

Doom 3 didn't want to go too far from the original game. Therefore, the game is a FPS where you'll have to destroy monsters in different areas until you find a safe zone. However, thanks to the beautiful graphics, the ambience is not at all the same. The environments are terrifying, monsters appear of nowhere, and the music doesn't help much either. Everything is done to raise your fear and to immerse you completely in the game. Well, the bet is won.

Doom 3 couldn't have been a better sequel to the two first games. Right after you pick your controller, you'll feel Doom's unique touch. The game is a masterpiece of horror and beauty. This game shouldn't be played alone and in the dark...
